MADBOOTS DANCE;

a queer, all-male contemporary dance company based in new york city;

MADBOOTS DANCE, the hyper-physical, provocative dance company led by Jonathan Campbell and Austin Diaz, has reached audiences nationally and internationally, tackling topics of male identity and queer culture. Both coming from prominent NYC schools, the duo has been named "25 to Watch" by Dance Magazine in 2016 and have been sought after by numerous universities and companies around the U.S. and Canada. In just six years, the company has had the honor of performing works at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, the Rialto Center for the Arts, Fire Island Dance Festival, the 92nd Street Y, Velocity Dance Center, and BAM Hillman, to name a few. The New York Times noted the company's "unashamed intimacy", and the Boston Globe has praised the "refreshing, often thrilling, straightforwardness" of the work.

Presently, Campbell and Diaz continue to create compelling works for MADBOOTS, as well as teaching both emerging and professional dancers around the nation.
