JESSE KOVARSKY;

dance artist//movement director

When he's not riding around on his yellow Vespa, Butter, Jesse has been known to appear on the stages of theater, opera and dance as well as in and behind the scenes of film and television. A highly skilled dancer and movement director who's favorite party trick includes finding a dark corner to get truly soulful and groovy in with whatever tunes provided. 

Jesse was born in Chicago, IL, but didn't begin dancing until the age of 20. He moved to London when he was 22 to become a member of transitions dance company at Laban where he would later received his MA in Dance Performance. Jesse stayed in London working professionally for 4 years before moving to NYC to star as a soloist at the Metropolitan Opera House. 

Jesse has worked with many choreographers including Russell Maliphant, Arthur Pita, Hofesh Shechter and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. He has performed with The English National Opera, Junk Ensemble and with Punchdrunk in The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable. He's appeared in the feature films Anna Karenina and The Muppets. Jesse made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-nominated revival of Fiddler On the Roof.

FUN FACT: Jesse used to be a competitive figure skater in the earlier years of his life, which Included lots of sequent vests and a solo of 'my heart will go on' by Celine Dion.
